Working within the COVID pandemic policies and restrictions, we held our first public event since January 2020. Our All In Foundation Suicide Prevention Walk on October 10th helped to raise awareness and financial support for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Although the national event was conducted virtually, we held a small in person event to honor our friends, family, and loved ones. Humbled that we quickly reached our max participation level of 25, a testament to the commitment of our community.

Thank you to all of the organizations that sent representatives and to the individuals who came out to share personal stories.

Planning for our next event has already begun! Keep an eye out for our Paint and Sip event registration. Follow along with our instructor, add your own little interpretation and create your own work of art. A free event designed to allow veterans / LEO / first responders, and family members to build a community of support and understanding.

This event will be limited to 25 people. Priority will be given to newsletter subscribers / members.  Sign up for our newsletter at https://workplayobsession.com/category/blogpost/

Quick update.

Below is our Community Text Line number.  This number is a direct text message line to communicate with us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our direct outreach mechanism.

We realize a lot of our content and outreach does not reach our community members & those in need due to social media algorithms and advertising getting higher priority. When you join our Community platform you will receive all of our updates, giveaways, and event notifications. We currently text no more than 1 x every two weeks or the week leading up to a giveaway / event.

Oh! This number works both ways, you can text us if you have questions about an event or scholarship opportunity or if you just need a shoulder to lean on and want to have a conversation. We will receive 100% of your messages, no algorithms or advertising walls.

Veteran led, veteran run non profit organization. Shared experiences, shared challenges, shared growth. Building a community. We are here for you.

We hope everyone is holding up well during this worldwide pandemic. We hope you are using this time to turn a negative into a positive and enjoying family, the outdoors, or a few minutes of mindfulness and meditation. Oh and bonus, enter our resiliency contest give away!!

In an effort to contribute to the social distancing guidelines and promote resiliency we are announcing an opportunity to have your work added to our Awareness Gi. To be entered into the drawing all you have to do is create an original work of art, post a photo of the art to social media, and tag Work Play Obsession. Winners will receive a free t-shirt and have their artwork permanently added to our Gi. The Gi will be put on display at local academies and hospitals and highlighted on our website http://www.workplayobsession.com helping to raise awareness for PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Suicidal Ideology and other forms of trauma.

The subject matter should include how you are remaining resilient during the Corona Virus outbreak or present a message advocating for brain health / mental health / healing from trauma.

The contest will run until the state of emergency is lifted and there is no limit to the amount of entries one individual can submit. Don’t forget to tag us and use the hashtag #resiliencycontest.
